The Better-Bench is a newly designed, easy to install tile bench system which replaces the complex systems currently in use. This fully independent supporting unit can be mounted to any vertical surface quickly and efficiently, saving the contractor time and money. What used to take two days to complete can now be done in about an hour!
Simple & Fast
 1.
Position Better-Bench at desired location and mark mounting holes on substrate. Using a 3/8" masonry Bit, drill marked locations completely through substrate.

 2.

Place 3/8" fastener sleeves (supplied) in applicable drilled holes. Inject a small amount of adhesive caulk in each mounting hole. Reposition Better-Bench, insert fastener screws and tighten completely using a hand screwdriver.

 
3.
Place a continuous bead of adhesive caulk along top edge of the Better-Bench at wall surface. Apply stiff mortar to completely fill Better-Bench, allowing the mortar to press through the front holes. Screed mortar even with top and front edges and fill any mortar voids in the front channel. 

 4.

Tile and grout the top and face of the better bench as desired.

 Better-Bench is engineered for a 400 lb load capacity.  Better Bench is designed to be long lasting & corrosion resistant. It can be used in wet or dry locations; mount to any ICBO approved substrate material.

Recessed Niches are composed of a corrosion resistant alloyed aluminum with an elastomeric waterproofing and anti-fracture coating combined with an aggregate bonding base. Finished materials, ceramic tile, marble, granite, etc. can be applied immediately after product installation utilizing standard mastics or thin-set. No additional additives are required. Listed products are supplied with (4) mulitpurpose wall fasteners which may be used with/without preinstalled wood blocking.
