We call this mural "Mountain Wine"..The photo above was the original design, but we ended up making it a little larger, which improved the perspective.

The Kwan Project
One of the most ambitious art projects taken on by Artistic Tile's Art Studio, is the Kwan Pool Project. Done in two stages, first, the under water mural, then the fountain wall, each stage took several months to complete. Despite the scope of the project, no shortcuts were taken to provide less than the highest detail on every square inch of the mural, right down to bugs on the leaves, and shiny eyes on the creatures.

Symbolism abounds in the mural. Plants and animals were carefully chosen from Chinese Folklore to provide harmony, balance, good luck, fortune, health, and happiness for the family.

At the bottom of the pool, is a medallion that stands for good fortune and longevity, surrounded by bats, which each have symbols representing special talents of each member of the family..successful business, talent in music, scholastics, etc.

The Fountain Wall

The center section of the wall includes three fountain bars that in the mural, are waterfalls

We have used tile from Artistic for two remodels now and we just don't shop anyplace else. We are remodeling a bathroom and I worked with the designer Cynthia who was able to take my ideas and turn them into reality within my budget. As she put it, "Tell me what you want to spend and we will make it work." They carry a beautiful selection of products, give correct information when you ask for advice, refer you to contractors and fabricators who do quality work, and follow through on what they say they will do. The service is excellent. If you want to sit down and plan out a project with a designer, I suggest you go on a weekday if you can -- they can be very busy on the weekends and they do give each customer all the time needed to make sure your project will be perfect.
