Family Bath

Second Floor Family Bath :

Julie Mifsud took a room with clean rich Carrera Marble and applied a classic French motif. The eleven-foot ceiling with rich moldings is where Julie provided a handpainted detail. The walls were painted a light pistachio green with warm white painted trim.

Cynthia Campanile designed the marble walls and floor.

The Stone for the Bath walls is Venezia Bianco Carrera. It was chosen to coordinate with the existing Marble Pedestal Sink. This stone is available in many shapes and sizes with coordinating trim pieces. The setting pattern and tile size changes at different levels. The floor was custom made. The style is PB Pattern #310. It can be made out of any stone available. In this case, we used Asian Statuary Marble with Negro Marquino Dots. Asian Statuary is the same stone we supplied for the Master Bath. Asian Statuary is warmer than Bianco Carrera, and we wanted to avoid a cold feeling in the room by using a warmer marble on the floor, and for the trim pieces.

We have used tile from Artistic for two remodels now and we just don't shop anyplace else. We are remodeling a bathroom and I worked with the designer Cynthia who was able to take my ideas and turn them into reality within my budget. As she put it, "Tell me what you want to spend and we will make it work." They carry a beautiful selection of products, give correct information when you ask for advice, refer you to contractors and fabricators who do quality work, and follow through on what they say they will do. The service is excellent. If you want to sit down and plan out a project with a designer, I suggest you go on a weekday if you can -- they can be very busy on the weekends and they do give each customer all the time needed to make sure your project will be perfect.
